I have a little child you see,
she is like a song to me.
Sometimes very soft and sweet,
sometimes high and shrill,
but she is, my little girl.

She was a gift given to me,
from God above, whom I adore.
He did not make her perfect, you see,
He had a plan, though blind was we.

We took her to the hospital one day,
At first there was no hope.
She was in severe shock,
her heart just could not cope.

As her mommy, I was devastated.
My baby? No, not mine.
But deep inside, I knew,
God was with her the whole time.

She was whisked away from me,
No room, I could not go.
Immediate surgery the said,
My heart was filled with sorrow.

I arrived the next day.
only to find.
She had stabilized,
in the nick of time.

My precious little bundle,
lay still on the bed.
She had a thousand wires,
from her toes up to her head.

She had a large tube,
shoved down her throat.
I could do nothing,
I felt I couldn't cope.

All I could do was stand there,
and pray strength into her.
It was as if I was in a dream,
At that time, I wasn't really sure.

She suffered much pain in those days,
I could not understand.
God, I said, Why did you let this happen?
He said, I am holding her hand.

Every day while she was sick,
I stayed by her side.
I prayed and sang songs to her,
She was my joy and pride.

She began to turn around.
She grew stronger every day.
I knew then,
It was not time for God to take her away.

I did not realize how,
many lives had been changed.
All because
of a little bundle's pain.

I believe God healed her.
She is as healthy as can be,
My little girl,
whom God gave to me.

He would use her for his Glory,
her pain was not in vain.
For if one soul is saved,
then for his kingdom we have gained.
